Cost of adoption

Dannevirke SPCA does not sell animals however we do ask for assistance to partially recover our costs.

Cat Adoption:

$80 -- this includes the cost of 1st vaccinations, worming and flea treatment, desexing, and some food. (price may change)

Kittens receive a free “Hills” Kitten pack.

Dog or Puppy Adoption:
$140.00 - $200.00 -- this includes de- sexing, flea and worm treatment, vaccination & microchipping. The new owner will need to register the dog / puppy with their local council. A property check is done by a SPCA inspector before the dog is released in order to determine adequate fencing and kenneling exists. (price may change)

Puppies receive a free “Hills” Puppy pack.

Open for viewing, pick up or drop offs: Monday - Thursday; 5pm - 6pm Saturday 8.30am - 10.30am Or by prior arrangement -- Closed Friday, Sunday & Public Holidays

We realise these hours don't seem that long but all our volunteers also work full time. We are in and out of the centre all the time for cleaning and feeding etc, and we are happy to meet someone outside these hours if a pre-arranged time is made. If you need to come outside these hours, leave a message on our answer phone and one of our volunteers will ring you. We check our answer phone daily.
